About Us
Our History and Culture
Linn-Co was chartered in 1956 by eight school teachers at Green
Acres School in Lebanon. Through the years we have evolved
into a credit union that is chartered to serve all who live, work,
worship or attend school in Linn County.
Our passion for community is not difficult to see. You'll
see us involved in a variety of organizations and events in the
community. From schools to chambers of commerce to community
concerts, we care about making Linn County a better place to live
in. After all, we live here too!
"unbig"
We like to say we're 'unbig.' With offices in Albany,
Lebanon and Sweet Home we are only in Linn County. Linn
County people helping Linn County neighbors. So if you're
looking for a place to be more than just an account number, we're
happy to have found you, and hope you'll be happy to have found
us!
What is a credit union anyway?
Credit Unions are financial cooperatives, which means that we
are owned by the members who join, as opposed to being owned and
controlled by majority stockholders. Our not-for-profit model
has been around for a long time, a people helping people model.
Neighbors pooling their money and lending it to one another.
We are governed by an all volunteer board of directors, who
are elected in a democratic vote at an open annual meeting.
When's the last time you felt the peace of mind of such local
control over your finances? Join us. Own us.
