We’re aware that a skimming device was found on the walk up ATM at our Albany office over the weekend. We are investigating the details and will update our web site and facebook status as soon as we have more information.
At this time it is not clear if any information was compromised. Anti-skimming devices have been deployed on all of our machines for the past year, but until more investigation can be done on the specific device used, it would be prudent to assume that any card used from the period of Friday September 21st through Saturday the 22ndat the Albany building ATM may have been breached, and we would advise you to contact your financial institution to replace the card in question. Once a card number is blocked and deactivated, it becomes useless to the fraudster.
If your card is a Linn-Co FCU card, please contact us at 541.259.1235 to notify us, and we will issue you a replacement card at no charge.
Again, we will continue to investigate the matter and appreciate your due diligence in making sure that any ATM that you are using does not have any kind of exterior device attached. Click here to find more information on skimming devices.
We apologize for the inconvenience and want to assure you that we take ATM security very seriously, and appreciate and value your membership.
